MGM Resorts, the global entertainment and hospitality company, has announced the addition of more than 1,000 new games at its Empire City Casino in New York. The addition of the prestigious gaming collection to the sixth largest casino floor in the U.S. and the largest in the company’s portfolio represents a replacement of almost 20% of the Empire City Casino’s 5,000 slots and electronic table games.
Extensive upgrade:
The extensive upgrade of the casino floor offerings at the property acquired by MGM in 2019 includes some of the most popular gaming titles on a global scale presented by MGM as “the most up-to-date titles in gaming,” including Light & Wonder‘s 88 Fortunes Money Coins and Dancing Drums Explosion, Konami Gaming’s Ba Fang Jin Bao and Aristocrat’s Mighty Cash Double Up.
The addition of the prestigious contingent is the result of a large number of the market research and industry reports with an aim to refresh, update, and upgrade the Empire City Casino‘s portfolio after special regulations – recently passed by the New York State Gaming Association – enabled this MGM’s resort to source gaming content from a wider range of content providers, including Aristocrat Gaming, Konami, and Alfastreet.
Investments continue:
Ryan Munroe, Executive Director of Slot Operations, led the casino floor transformation using the market research and industry reports as the grounds to elevate the gaming experience at the property by introducing the wagering range from penny slots to a $ 200 max bet per play. It is this executive who decided which games are expected to be most popular among players.
According to the source, Munroe said: “If you think the casino floor looks different, you are right. In my 15 years working at Empire City, I can’t remember when we’ve had so many new games hit the gaming floor over a relatively short period.” He added: “MGM Resorts continues to make the necessary investments to ensure a top-tier experience for our guests. Empire City also has some of the industry’s highest payouts, meaning that more of the money played at Empire City is returned as payouts to our guests.”
Great win opportunities:
Munroe further informed that Empire City Casino will continue to offer great win opportunities facilitated through the unique multiple six-figure progressive jackpots offering huge wins, such as almost $ 600,000 available with Bally‘s Celestial King at the property. In addition to the latest casino floor 20% extension activity, Munroe has also been involved in MGM Resorts’ preparation activities to compete for one of the three commercial casino licenses available for issuance in New York.
Competing for the license:
With a commercial casino license at hand, Empire City Casino would be able to transform into a facility offering live-dealer table games, retail sports betting, and more. Such an expansion, as MGM Resorts stated, would make the property a world class entertainment venue capable of enhancing ” the experience for casino guests, racing patrons, and team members alike,” whereas the latest casino floor addition is another step towards such an outcome.
