Yggdrasil agrees new partnership deal with SKS365 Group brand Planetwin365 for Italian gaming market

On the heels of launching its latest slot, Swedish provider of online gaming solutions, Yggdrasil, has increased its reach in Italy‘s regulated market after agreeing a content integration deal that will see its diverse range of HTML5 games go live with Planetwin365, the brand of online casino and sports betting operator SKS365 Group.

Following a seamless integration, the online operator‘s customers have gained access to an initial 24 titles from the Cherry AB subsidiary’s award-winning portfolio, with 15 additional games to follow soon after.

Italy entry:

After beginning the process of certifying its games and platform in compliance with Italian technical requirements, in January 2017 Yggdrasil announced its intention to enter the European country’s regulated iGaming market. And in March that year, the company revealed a deal that would see it go live with international sports betting and gambling company GVC Holdings’ (now, Entain plc) Italy-facing online gaming brands bwin.it and Gioco Digitale. The latter was the first fully-regulated gaming site on the Italian market.

Commenting on the new collaboration, Chief of Global Market Operations for Yggdrasil, Björn Krantz, explained that partnering with yet another leading local operator “is a testament” to the popularity of its content in Italy where they have established “a great presence.”

Krantz went on to say…

“Together with Planetwin365 we will be able to reach an even wider audience and provide more players with the excitement and entertainment that our games offer.”

Included in the titles made available to customers of planetwin365.it are player-favorites such as Vikings Go Wild, released in May 2018, and part of the popular Norse-themed collection that includes Vikings Go To Hell and Vikings Go Berzerk; another 2018 release, Easter Island, the sequel to which was launched last month; and an oldie but a goodie, Golden Fishtank. Also included are games such as third-party content from the successful YG Masters program, like All Star Knockout.

Growing popularity:

Declaring that they are “delighted” to start releasing Yggdrasil games to their customers in Italy, Chief Commercial Officer for SKS365, Troy Cox said that Yggdrasil’s high-quality content is “growing in popularity with the local audience.” And…

“The launch of their content on our site is a great addition to our portfolio and will allow us to offer a more complete, richer, more immersive and entertaining gaming experience to our customers”.

As mentioned, the collaboration closely follows the launch of Robin – Sherwood Marauders, the developer’s second YG Masters title inside of one month. The fast-paced video slot offers 4,096 paylines that pay all-ways and a €700,000 max win.

New slot:

Fans can expect Yggdrasil to drop its next hit, Royal Dragon Infinity Reels on April 29. The medium-high volatility game expands on ReelPlay’s innovative Infinity Reels system, adding some exciting new features.
